It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
Good morning, I welcome you all here today to the 2015 Science National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. I am honored to been asked to speak and to celebrate this wonderful occasion. I would like to congratulate to the students for being honored today for your achievements in leadership, community service, scholarship, character and your enthusiasm on science which are shown through hardwork and dedication that each of you has displayed. I would also like to congratulate to the parents and families for showing unconditional support, motivation, encouragement and love on these remarkable young people which is why they are here today and continue this way in order to lead them to the path of success. Recieveing this letter that I was inducted to be in the National Junior Honor Society made my heart beat faster than I’d ever keep track of, knowing that I was more of a gifted student. Every heart beat was building up my stimulation about this honor, telling me that I demonstrate scholarship, citizenship, character, leadership, and service. To know that I have all of those traits in me makes me feel more of a part of this society, and has made me begin to realize the considerable things that I’ve done. This oppertunity is great for me because I can expand my inner and outer school activities to show what great things I do in my time. I truly enjoy having a mental achievement in school, knowing that my grades sit at the top of the A’s shelf and hardly sit on level B.
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
It is an honor to be nominated for the National Honor Society. The fact that I was nominated proves to me that all of my hard work and dedication has not been for nothing. The National Honor Society is known for recognizing students who strive to achieve their best not only in school but in themselves and the community. I believe that I’m one of those students. Based upon my last two year at Matawan Regional I now have a 3.9 GPA and am ranked in the top 20% of my graduating class.
Dear the National Honor Society selection committee, Thank you for the great honor of being invited to apply for membership to such a well-respected and incredible organization. I am very excited about this opportunity as it presents an optimal way in which to further my passion of expanding my mind and bettering my community. Since I entered high school, I have pursued this by taking all honors classes and any Advanced Placement classes offered to me each year. Although sometimes I was not always entirely sure what to expect walking into each class, and of course there have been classes I like more than others, there is no class I regret taking because each and every one has opened my mind up to a new way of thinking.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
The first reason why I should be in National Junior Honor Society is because of my leadership skills. The first example of my leadership skills are applied to my youth group in the Cecilton Parish. I am the treasurer and help with the Ideas for fundraising. We, as a group held a spaghetti dinner for the church and I managed the money and the setting. Pursuing this further, I actively show leadership in school.
I am extremely honored to be considered for the National Technical Honor Society. I have been looking forward to this moment for two years now. I strongly believe I would be a good candidate for NTHS because, I am a dedicated hardworking student who strives to be the best I can be. I also believe NTHS would be a great benefit not only towards my scholastic abilities but also to my character. As a student, I have set high standards for my future, focusing on my studies and looking forward to college.
Today I am deeply humbled to be recognized as a potential member of the National Honor Society. To me this means I have exemplified everything you look for in a student who goes above and beyond, not just in academics but in athletics, the community and at home as well. I have not taken this selection for granted, as I believe would be a great asset to the National Honor Society. I am hardworking, honest, reliable and quite charismatic too. I hold all the qualities required by the distinguished NHS like leadership, service, character and scholarship.
To be in National Junior Honor Society you have to have good character, citizenship,service, and leadership. First, I have good character. I take criticism willingly, and I also welcome recommendations. Second, I demonstrate citizenship well. Civic involvement is very important, and I have high regard to freedom, justice, and respect for the American form of government.
I will make sure to do my part by leading by example, serving my community and school, staying true to myself, and performing in school to the best of my ability. It would be an honor to be a part of such an extraordinary program in which I can better myself and my community. I am so thankful to the many teachers who have considered me as a candidate for the National Honor Society. As I aspire to become a member of this organization, I will make it my duty to be an active member in my community and will maintain my leadership, service, character, and scholarship
National Honor society was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academic success, leadership, character and service. I should be in National Honor Society because I think I represent a lot of the qualities needed to be in this organization. Throughout my years in high school, I have been very involved in the band program here at Langham Creek. As a freshman, I started out in Concert 2 band.
Speech for NJHS Induction Ceremony Good evening students, faculty, and family members! Thank you, Mrs. Reece and Principal King, for inviting me to this year’s National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony. Students, tonight we honor your achievements in the areas of Scholarship, Citizenship, Responsibility, Community Service, Character, and Leadership as we recognize and celebrate the choices, and at times the sacrifices, you have made. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The reward of a thing well done is to have done it."
I will also do my best to show good character, leadership, citizenship, service, and scholarship because I know that these qualities are very important for the National Junior Honors Society and that they are also very important to me. Thank you for your consideration, Katy
