Reach Out, Speak Up in September for National Recovery Month
People in recovery are all around us. Sometimes it takes one of those National Days or Months to remind us. You know, National Taco Day or Donut Month or all those you don’t pay too much attention to.
But in the light of the rising opioid epidemic, September is a serious one where National Recovery Month can highlight for families that substance use disorders can be treated just as effectively as other health problems.
By speaking up from Friday September 1st about the issues and reaching out to those who need help, you can help encourage public awareness and inspire others. Together so many of us can help others get to a point where they realize the promise of recovery.
