2 camps: Nazi camps and Japanese Internment camps. There was long hatred for Jews in European history. Hitler was the chancellor of Germany with death camps and concentration camps, and America had Internment camps. Innocent people were put in these camps. Nazi camps and Japanese Internment camps are different because of the purposes behind the camps, reasons the people were sent to the camps, and what they did at the camps. The purpose behind both of the camps are different. First, American’s put Japanese in Internment camps because they were scared. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, so at the time Americans thought every Japanese was loyal to their emperor. America thought the Japanese were planning another attack. However, some people think that the camps are not different and they were the same. In both camps they didn 't feed the people 3 meals a day. Mostly they were working, so they didn 't have time to eat. They were working so they wouldn’t get in trouble and then not being able to eat at all because Hitler would kill them, when America would warn them. They both took away the rights of people when they put them in the camps. America took away rights so they could protect the citizens from more attacks by Japan on America. Hitler took away rights by controlling everyone in the camps and killing mostly all the people that went into the camps. America told the world that they had organized nursery homes for little children, self-government, and that America would help the Japanese find land (The United States of America Propaganda). Hitler tried to destroy all the evidence of the camps when his Allies came looking for him. America did it because they were trying to figure out who was loyal and if the Japanese were planning on attacking America again. Hitler did it because he didn 't want anyone to find out what actually happened, almost like he was ashamed or embarrassed. Nazi camps and Japanese Internment camps are not the same.
