“I am concerned that we may succumb to fears about possible dangers to the internet’s future and react with proposals to legislate or regulate its operations” (Farber, 34, 2009) What is known about the internet today, is not what once was. This is one of the main themes found within the article “Network Neutrality Nuances” in the counter section written by David Farber. What this helps to do is allow the reader to get a sense of where preference may be in the subject, and where the article may be headed. Throughout the article though there are no headings, Farber writes in such a way where the reader is able to keep an idea of what is being discussed, such as “Today, innovation and enhancements can occur at all levels of the Internet.”(Farber, 35,2009) Likewise while a large number of topics are talked about through the article, it is written in a fluid and logical manner by which the reader will not become confused as the article …show more content…

While the overall theme of the article may be geared towards the history of net neutrality, it is not explicitly stated anywhere and this may confuse the reader. While there are some areas of the article that convey modern topics, it would seem as though too much of the article is spent on the history. While the article would be less coherent without the history, it should only be a minor part of the article and not the bulk. Network neutrality is becoming an ever present debate in today’s culture and it contains more meaning than ever before.
