Playing in the NFL is much more than just a job. Also, the risk of getting hurt can be alarmingly high. Additionally, the amount of money paid to these players for just playing a sport seems excessive. Due to the fact that NFL football players get paid an outrageous amount of money, can run the high risk of serious injuries and can do other jobs, they are getting paid too much injury Firstly, playing in the NFL cannot be regarded as a regular job, as benchwarmers and star players alike earn millions of dollars. Hard workers get paid less and less while NFL players get paid more every year. Secondly, the risk of getting an injury in the NFL is significantly higher compared to other sports. In agreement with the National Library of Medicine, “Injury incidence is higher in football than in any other sport.” This proves my point that you are more likely to get injured in football than in any other sport. Lastly, although joining the NFL might be a way to make millions of dollars, there are other ways to earn the same amount of money without risking injury. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics states, “The annual wage could be from 39,000 to 78,000 for an athletic trainer”. This suggests that one could work as an athletic trainer for the NFL and still earn millions of dollars without risking
