The story takes place in North Carolina, where all his stories take place. During the story, he finds out he has to go to war. They broke up and he leaves. When he gets back she is engaged to another man. He builds her her dream house that she has always wanted to get her attention. She then falls back in love with him and they get married. Then they both die together the same night from old age. He portrays guys in a loving and respectful way which is not always the case in real life. Girls see how well the guy treats her in the novels and movies and then decide they want that in life. It has changed the way women have looked at love and has changed how they view love. He wanted to portray the good person he was to the audience he had. It has also changed the movie industry. The Nicholas Sparks films alone have made three quarters of a billion dollars of the eleven films made. He has also influenced culture on bringing many societies together by common romance. His books are sold in not just the United States but in many different countries. It really shapes how people view love. It makes people want what are in his novels. He has also encouraged and been an influence to other writer who write romance novels. He has inspired writers to
