The case of Tammy Lou Fontenot v. Taser International, Inc. was about a wrongful death case named Darryl Tuner, a 17-year-old male employed by a grocery store. Darryl was fired for “insubordination” and refused to leave the grocery store. Police were called, and eventually used a Taser in order to take him into custody. Turner died as a result of the Taser being delivered to Turner’s body. Tammy Lou Fontenot filed suit against the City of Charlotte and Taser International seeking money damages for the alleged wrongful death of Darryl Turner.
On 09/18/2016, at approximately 2148 hours, at the Durango Jail located at3225 W Gibson Ln Phoenix, AZ 85009 an Inmate/Inmate fight had occurred in Durango 3 B Pod between Inmate Moothery, Naz T303229 and Inmate Sams, Worine T284566. Upon entering Durango 3 B Pod, Inmate Sams approached Inmate Moothery and begun fighting by Durango 3 B Pod door. Multiple strikes were thrown by both inmates until Inmate Moothery had fallen to the Pod floor. At that time Officer Serrano approached the pod door and gave both inmates commands to stop fighting. No radio call was made due to both inmates complying with the orders given.

Shoichet, on September 21, 2016 an African American man named Terence Crutcher was shot and killed by Betty Shelby. Betty Shelby is a Caucasian police officer for the state of Oklahoma. On that Wednesday, there was an SUV parked in the middle of a road with a man running around it and that man was Terence Crutcher. There were two 911 calls made about Crutcher running around his car.
Smith had been charged with assault and battery which ended in dismissal. Then he was placed on probation for school truancy, during this time Smith was found driving a stolen vehicle. Shortly, after this incident probation was continued when he was cited for riding a bicycle while under the influence of alcohol and for stealing candy bars.
