“Rikki-tikki-tavi” is a book about a mongoose written by Rudyard Kipling, a human. During this story Rikki-tikki-tavi uses his fast reflexes to eliminate the snakes and be considered a hero. He proves himself to be determined, brave, and protecting while killing snakes, obviously, because who doesn't prove themselves by killing snakes. At first Rikki proves his determination in extermination while he kills Nag in the bathroom. While he held onto Nags fragile neck “he closed his jaws tighter, for he made sure he [Nag] would be banged to death…” (22 P10).
