Within the novel, “The Outsiders”, written by S.E Hinton, it conveys the rivalry between the two gangs, the Socs and the Greasers. They constantly encounter conflict since the Socs are wealthy, living on the West side of town unlike the Greasers who are lower class, living on the opposite side of town. Each gang consists of multiple members, however, for the Greasers, particularly one member stands out from the crowd, Sodapop. His personality reveals that he is someone who endlessly provides comfort while keeping the peace but still maintaining a happy-go-lucky attitude.
Since the Dao is so widespread, the Dao is both everything and nothing, the “darkness within darkness” (CP. P.46). Dao is empty but is the source of all things, therefore; it responsible for the undoing and doing of all things as explained in segment four. This notion of emptiness if further described in segment eleven. Empty space is not negative, without emptiness we would not have vases or wheels. Emptiness is a significant thing to appreciate and is completely necessary for life.
Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” is a play with clear heroes and villains, reading into the nuances of the characters, the line between heroes and villains becomes blurrier. Don John is the clear villain of the play but he is not the only one. Don John is portrayed with malicious intent and does not escape this notion for each of his lines, he is supposed to be the evil meddler. For someone such as Claudio, there isn’t a certainty. Claudio is a character who gets a happy ending and perhaps also gets more sympathy from the reader, this is because Claudio wrongs people but is also deceived into doing so.
The word deceit means to take action or practice deceiving someone by concealing or misrepresenting the truth. In the novel Much Ado About Nothing, a theme of deceit is constantly present, and appears in many different forms. Deceit is used not only for wicked purposes, but mainly for good intentions. In Shakespeare's novel deception is used to initiate and continue the play's plot, by using the masking of characters, faking death and various other forms of deception to demonstrate how true deception can be in our lives. Deception can often be used to mask a certain identity for a particular reason.
Other words that are considered some portion of the definition are "void" and "tumult" however none of those words appear to precisely represent the idea, which is accepted to infer something more than vacancy, or "insignificant emptiness and political agitation" (191). Something existed there, not just the nonappearance of something and everything. The void was not a position of non-presence but rather a spot for the beginning of presence and creation to happen. As indicated by Genesis, it is out of the void that God shape the earth: "The void is the
Karen Armstrong and Robert Thurman wrote their essays, “Homo religiosus” and “Wisdom”, respectively, describing two words, “being” and “void”. These words, although have opposite meanings, describe the same spiritual experience that come about through different means. By definition, “being” is a kind of fullness or completeness of existence and “void” is emptiness or a negation of existence. Armstrong believes that “being” is the equivalent of the Buddhist’s “Nirvana” while Thurman believes that “void” is the equivalent of the Buddhist’s “Nirvana”. Although these terms seem to be opposite in the literal sense of defining them, they lead to the same outcome: not being at the center of one’s own universe.
The Xbox was created by microsoft on November 22, 2000. The first thought of making this was in 1998 by the microsoft workers, Kevin Bachus, Seamus Blackley, Otto Berkes, and Ted Hase. They brought this idea to Bill Gates but they called it the “DirectX Box” but they decided that was too long and changed it as an abbreviation to the “Xbox”. Its first debut was on March 10, 2000. Bill Gates showed it at the Game Developers Conference.
This premise needs further justification for it to be correct. The term “bare nothing” does not cancel out that explanation that nature could have the power to produce another being. Locke responded explaining that nature is the first beginning and every beginning was produced by something else. An eternal being was the reason why the explosion of nature started our world and further produced all of
It is nothing to those who live (since to them it does not exist) and it is nothing to those who have died (since they no longer exist)”
William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” was a play about romance, misunderstanding and happiness. A modern audience would view this play in a different way to an audience in Shakespeare’s time, particularly in relation to the role and status of women and attitudes towards courtship and marriage. Two of the main ideas in the play include the fact that women’s voices aren’t heard and the role of the father in the relationships of their daughters are two topics that will be covered. As a 21st century viewer of this play seeing the treatment of women, and how their voices and opinions aren’t always taken into account, I believe that this sort of treatment wasn’t the right thing to do.
“The Problem of Evil” is simply the question, why does God allow evil to happen? God is omnipotent, omniscient, all-loving, and rational, therefore why does evil exist? There is either no God or he is not what we think he is, since evil could be prevented by him with no risk. Atheists and anti-theodicist see a problem with the idea that God could prevent evil. They believe that because God is so powerful and perfect, that he would not allow such immoral actions to be done.
Sartre says “Nothingness can be nihilated only on the foundation of being; if nothingness can be given, it is neither
