The Xbox Research Paper

The Xbox was created by microsoft on November 22, 2000. The first thought of making this was in 1998 by the microsoft workers, Kevin Bachus, Seamus Blackley, Otto Berkes, and Ted Hase. They brought this idea to Bill Gates but they called it the “DirectX Box” but they decided that was too long and changed it as an abbreviation to the “Xbox”. Its first debut was on March 10, 2000. Bill Gates showed it at the Game Developers Conference. People were “iffy” about buying it because they thought it was nothing more than a PC designed as a gaming console. After this it was shown at many different places. However, people were still a bit skeptical about buying this product. On November 14 they showed it at Toys ‘R Us with a lower price then around $300 Xbox consoles were sold in the next three weeks. You can now buy it at many places such as Sears, GameStop, Amazon.com, RadioShack, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc. The prices are now ranging from $150-$300, depending on where you buy it.

It has a detachable hard drive in all the models except the core system. The xbox was able to be played online but they have disconnected it because people have moved on to different updates of the xbox such as the xbox 360 kinect or xbox one which is what more people are focusing on. On the xbox you were able to watch movies (if you had internet), play games on the console, listen to music, download games, and so much more.There can be up to 4 players if you are playing wireless but with wires you are limited to two players. It also depends on the game you are playing because some games are only one or two
