C. Explain the purpose, relative function and transmission speed of the following Network cabling including: • Coaxial cable: Coaxial cable is used for the network communication, Video and audio which means this coaxial cable can be connected to the TV to get the signal from the satellites or music player system.
There are 2 type of network cabling which is Thicknet and thinnet (diameter is about 0.25 inches or 0.64 cm) this can be used to connect any type of the network cables. Thicknet cabling is referred 10base5 system which is 10 Mbps of speed and 500 meter of the distance but the Thicknet cables is used for LAN network. Thinnet cable referred 10base2 which is 10 Mbps and 200 distances and it’s used for LAN network. Difference between Thicknet and thinnet is different length of the coaxial cabling within same speed of transmission.
Transmission speed depend on the functions for example, in high power- frequency transmission there will

It works third way where it sends information coded in a beam of extremely thin strands glass or plastic pipe. Each strand is less than tenth as thick as human hair and can carry 25,000 telephone calls. At the beginning, this technology used in transmitting telephone calls at the speed of light (186,000 miles or 300,000km). The fibre can be protected from the heat, sun, cold and ultraviolet rays. It can also use any type of network. For example, if we connect the optical cable to the Television, we will receive a better quality sound and there is no sound degradation. The fibre optical cable is average transmission speed about 10Gbps. The function of the optical cabling is light guide with the data sends via light
