I decided to observe the interaction of ones at a nursing home. This particular day I was extremely bored at work. That tends to happen when it 's close to the end of the month. My mom and I decided to visit my grandmother who resides at the Memphis Jewish Home. We parked and did not get out immediately. My mom needed to finish her conversation with my sister-in-law. As I was waiting I see a white Altima pull in a parking space crookedly. I thought she would have tried to straighten up but she didn 't. She opened her door and put one foot out. She’s wearing a dirty sneaker. Before she fully gets out, she reaches over to the passenger side. I guess she’s getting something out. I was right. She has a plastic grocery bag with sub sandwiches. I look back and mom is still conversing with the nurse. I figure they 've moved on to another topic. Both of their expressions are very relaxed. They are smiling and laughing. Mom is using a lot of gestures. Behind them and see an older African American lady walking. She 's using a walker. Also a nurse is guiding her. Her hand is on the small of her back and the other is on her right forearm. The lady has gotten tired, because when they came to a chair she sits down. My mom is finished. She walks towards me with a smile on her face. I get up and we head to my grandmother’s room. Granny is sitting in her wheelchair. She looks good today. When she sees us, a huge smile lights her face. “Hey mom.” “Hey Granny.” I give granny a hug and go sit in the chair. My gives granny a hug and sits on the edge of the bed, Mom smiles endearingly at granny and it’s heartwarming. She takes granny 's hand and massages it. Then she moves the bangs out of her eyes. Granny looks up at her and smiles. Mom and granny talk. I can tell that it is an uncomfortable subject because granny just gets kind of quiet and then goes “I don 't know”. Mom straightens granny 's jacket and goes “It needs to be your decision and no one
