Improving “Nurture Transforms Hitler”
In Nurture Transforms Hitler article by Ricardo Covarrubias, he talks about how ones nurture can over come your natural life style and behaviors by life events. Covarrubias explains two individual characters, Jimmy Smith Jr. (Eminem) from the movie 8 Mile by Curtis Hanson, along side with Adolf Hitler (Noah Taylor) in the movie Max by Menno Meyjes and his experience with Max Rothman. He states, “Eminem and Hitler are the same because the crowd influences their path in life”. Supporting this by events in their environment, moments of solitude, rejection, and backstabbing leading to trust issues. Covarrubias provides excellent quotes to display the emotion Eminem and Hitler felt, yet providing more information may be very useful as a reader to paint the picture with more of an ease. Hitler and Eminem are described as sharing solitude and the effect it had on their lives. Covarrubias quotes from the movie Max, “ You know Rothman, when I came back from this I came back with really nothing.no home, no parents, no family, no fiancé, no profession and no job”. Covarrubias used that to support the reason to why Hitler was triggered to murder Jews. Providing more information as to why he was still alone after returning from the war may help the argument. Hitler was a stubborn, angry and anti social human being, at least he was portrayed that way in the movie, like Eminem who also didn’t have much, a mom a drug addict, living in a trailer trash area, financially unstable can help support why they were both remaining in solitude and emotionally alone. Including more information is helpful to understand how they used these environmental and social issues to an advantage. To convince people to hate Jews or for Eminem, listen to his rap music, using it as fuel to continue with what they believed in
