In Finding Nemo, Marlin went to find Nemo who was captured by fishermen, when he went wandering off from the coral reef. Nemo's father, Marlin goes off on an adventure to find his son Nemo. While on Marlins Adventure of Finding Nemo he meets a fish named Dory, who isn't the smartest of fish. They face many obstacles on the way as he goes through the steps of the hero's Quest to find Nemo. Some of the steps Marlin and Dory go through to find Nemo include Call to Adventure, refusal of the call, and meeting the mentor (Dory).

When Nemo went missing Marlin was called to Adventure. Nemo goes away from the coral reef up to the boat, to prove that he is brave in front of his friends at the fish school. Marlin was afraid to go after Nemo because he's afraid of the dark, open Sea. As in the beginning of the story all of the fish eggs, except one, were eaten by a swordfish so was Nemo's mother. Marlin has a lot of fear built up inside of him, he didn't want anything to happen to Nemo so he was a very strict parent.

While Marlin was on the adventure he ran into a fish named Dory. Dory was not the smartest of fish but had a lot of confidence in herself. Dory helped Marlin through the adventure and through the rough times. She even helped Nemo during the end of the adventure. She also taught Marlin to learn to let go, and let Nemo experience life but still keep him safe. He also learned how to believe in Nemo and trust in others.

Finding Nemo fits perfectly with the Hero's Quest Adventure. The movie fit each of the hero's Quest steps including, the Call to Adventure, refusal of the call, and meeting the mentor. The Hero's Quest is popular in many movies, as to where a specific character goes on a journey to save someone or something. Finding Nemo is a great example of the Hero’s
