The occupational therapist impacts the service of context by making sure goals are being met and if not what needs to be changed within the intervention to make it more successful. For example, the Occupational therapist can set a goal for a child who has difficulty taking test and have the student identify the stressor that causes the child not to be successful in test taking and come up with the strategies for them to be successful in the classroom and if not successful in the first intervention that they came up with try another intervention until the goal is achieved.

Occupational therapy services promote a relationship with their patients but not on a personal level but on a professional level it allows them to network. The occupational therapist services can impact cultural by introducing Occupational therapy to them educating them in the profession. For example, the patient that you may be treating their cultural may use herbal medicine or acupuncture for their healing and you being in the profession could teach them on the benefits of the occupational therapy services. Another example you may have a patient who they refuse to have a woman OT and may have to adapt to that and get a male occupational therapist or even go through their family to better understand and let them explain to you and you to give your knowledge of your profession.
Political
Government, public affair, who is covered (insurance) community program, laws to practice, laws to protect legal defense, documentation. Get Occupational services more involved with the community by making the community more aware of what occupational therapist do. For example, the OT work with different organizations (transportation, etc..) not just sick or disabled but activities of daily living can benefit from occupational therapy it helps in numerous ways and it also involves the family for their input. The OT is being an advocate for the community.
