Because of our advanced technology that can keep people alive longer called life support people are being kept alive longer than humanly possible. Because of this the person being kept alive by the machines, though still living is not all there. They may seem alive, but they aren’t there in spirit. Day in and day out they go through constant pain and are humiliated by the fact that they can’t live without the machine attached to them. And because of this people find it harder and harder to “pull the plug” because when they do they have to say goodbye though it’s hard for them to overcome the lost of a loved one the person on the brink of death is relieved that the pain and humiliation can finally go away.
