She asks the main character Doug if he knows what creativity is. He replies that he is not sure. Then Mrs. Windermere says: “Creativity is a god who comes only when he pleases, it isn’t very often. Doug throughout his life has a lot of negative things thrown at him. First in the beginning of the book, his prize position Joe Pepitone’s baseball cap that was given to him from Joe Pepitone himself gets thrown in the gutter by bullies in his school.
