One Blink
Blinking is inevitable, it’s an effortless action that occurs more than 25,000 time a day. No one observes the significance of this action, except me. I admire every tiny flutter of my long eyelashes because with every single blink I’ve started to see my 2 distant worlds started to merge into one perfect world. You might be thinking, what she lives in 2 worlds? Is she an alien? Unfortunately, no I’m not an alien. I’m just a human like you. Although, I have been living in 2 different worlds. I had whole different world 9 years ago, that world was gone with one quick blink. I had to transfer my whole world and life to a new country. I think that explains why I always have a smile on my face! My world consisted of living with my parents in my grandma’s tiny 3-room house in a large neighborhood. I used to roaming around the neighborhood pretending that it was my palace, I also wore the cutest princess dress, that my grandma sewed for me. I would occasionally pay surprise visits to random neighbors. They were so used to it they knew how to make my coffee just how I liked it. I was the Princess of the neighborhood, everyone always welcomed to their homes. Although, there was a time that I didn’t like everyone in the neighborhood knowing me because if I was did something bad, my parents would know right away because someone told them. Now, that I have reminisce those moments, I think that it was actually a magnificent thing what I had. That way was their way of showing that they cared about me. They wanted me to grow up to be a respectful, polite young lady. Which, made a huge impact to who I am today.
