In Asia about 60 million girls have gone missing. The main problem with this girls gone missing is infanticide. In China and India there is a big problem with infanticide, girls in this countries are treated in bad manner. Girls are not valued, because they believe that girls can’t do what a boy can do. When a boy grows up he has to take care of his family, when a girl grows up she gets married and becomes part of a different family.

The “One child” policy has led to the killing of more baby girls in China.
In China the increase of population led to a policy called the “One child policy.” The policy requires families just to have one or two childs. girls are killed because, many families want a boy instead of a girl. When boy grows up he is going to be the only person who is going to help them. People in China don’t want to spend money on them because, later in life they won’t be with their family to help them. India is a country where infanticide also happens. In India about 400,000 selective abortions happen each year. Girls also get abandoned, they are abused, or they get killed after they are born. When girls get abandoned, the majority of them die and sometimes they are rescued. Families in India killed babies girls because of extreme poverty, and dowry. Boys are the ones who can help a family when they grow up. Boys in India get a better education than girls. Girls just have to do work at home.
