Sex equality is the view that men and women should receive equal treatment, and should not be discriminated against based on gender. In the past, women had been oppressed by men in several things such as education, liberty and employment. Nowadays, many things have changed. Women have more chance in education and employment and also have more liberty than the past. Even though many people believe that men and women are equal now, there is still a gap between a belief in the equality of the sexes. It shows that women and men are actually not equal in many ways.
The first argument begins with men’s and women’s equality in education. Some say that they are equal in every part of our world. They say women and men in developed countries are equally educated by their school. They can share their knowledge to each other when they have to work together, so it is impossible that women and men are unequal. However, this argument has completely ignored the truth that there are still many women do not have a chance to study in some developing countries.
