Have you ever wondered if Orcas or killer whales are whales or dolphins. Orcas share many similarities with both species of animals ranging from bone structure to teeth. Some of the more important similarities were eating and hunting habits. Some instantly noticeable similarities in all three was the blow-holes, breathing oxygen, and all three being aquatic mammals. Plus, all three give birth to living young. Another similarity between the three aquatic mammals is their forms of communication. Dolphins, whales, and killer whales all use echolocation to find their food when visibility is no longer an option anymore. They also use echolocation to communicate at all time too.

Killer whales, dolphins, and whales all three share the same bone structure. In other words, the have the exact same skeleton. The only difference in their skeletons is the sizes of their bones in their bodies. All three sea animals share a common body structure too. These similar body parts are the blowhole, dorsal fin, and the flippers. They even share the same internal structure of organs. A whale's idea of a meal is a large amount of plankton. These whales get the microscopic organisms by using baleen to filter of the water and not their food. Whales usually hunt alone but some hunt in groups. Dolphins on the other hand hunt for larger food to fuel their hyperactive lives. Dolphins hunt for these healthy meals in packs by surrounding their prey and slowly spiraling inwards towards their meal.
