Between January 2008 and May 2012, hundreds of students reported sexual assaults to the local police. Few cases were handled properly by the university or local authorities. Krakauer's purpose was to show how rape victims are often not believed. One of the methods that Krakuar uses is pathos which is an argument of emotion.
Jonathan Edwards version of God was very aggressive and unforgiving. Insult after continuing insult, this does not seem like the Jesus Christ with the wonderful forgiving spirit. With the words, “God hates you,” repeated multiple times throughout the sermon, it is truly hypocritical that the God described as forgiving and loving of all would say “I hate you,” every five minutes. Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. So my issue with Peter Singer's argument is it's infallible to tell someone that they should not be spending money on luxuries, when they themselves are buying tickets to see a movie. I believe in "practice what you preach" and "actions speak louder than words". Which really puts me off about what Singer was trying to communicate. Now I understand his thoughts of trying to challenge people to not be selfish and think inwardly. But in that process, he himself fell prey to his own vices.

Death is and always has been the last experience a human has and it is their right to do so as they desire. Thus, this everlasting conflict in humanity supports that there can be no cap. In today’s society, we have former National Football League(NFL) quarterback Collin Kapernick who’s no longer in the NFL because of his protest against racial inequality. However, many people believe he is no longer in the NFL because of his talent. Kapernick led the 49ers to Super Bowl 47. Although they didn’t win, he threw for 302 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 62 yards. Therefore, he didn’t get kicked out of the league because he wasn’t good enough, but for sitting down during the national anthem.
