Oskar Schindler was a man who worked for the Nazi Party during WW2 who had seen what the Nazi’s were doing and wanted to do something about that. Oskar started a factory in Poland with no opinion of the Jewish people. Later throughout the war he got higher up in the Nazi Party and witnessed what the Nazi’s were doing to the Jews. Oskar near the end of the war put out an order for 1,000 Jews that are needed for the war. Oskar was not perfect, but went out of his way and saved over 1,000 Jewish people.
Oskar Schindler went to Poland after failing to be a businessman to start over in the business industry again. In February Oskar joined the Nazi Party and was taking advantage of being able to take Jewish-owned property (Anderson). At the factory he was arrested three times for being suspected of being a traitor (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum). The factory Oskar had at its peak had 1,700 workers and at least 1,000 were Jewish people. While at the factory the Jewish people were still treated as if they were in the concentration camp (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum). Oskar had seen things at his factory that was starting to change his mind.

When he was in the concentration camp controlled by Amon, he witnessed Amon killing Jews for the fun of it. Amon had a road built out of graves that led to the concentration camp. Meeting him had changed Oskar’s view on Jews and saw what was happening to them for every day for years. Oskar had Amon had talk about power once, (Oskar) “Power is when we have every justification to kill, and don’t (Amon) “You think that’s Power?” Oskar may not have changed his mind if he did not meet Amon, and kept using them for labor
