In Othello the play, Othello has many flaws that don't help him in this play and as a matter of fact, work very well against him. Iago his friend notices these flaws and uses them against Othello to get what he wants without him knowing what is happening. How gullible he is, his jealousy and his insecurity all got used against him like nothing, he finds out the person he is closest to has been lying to him the whole time and using all three of these things against him.

Iago used this to make Othello believe that Desdemona his wife was cheating on him with his lietenteunt Cassio, Othello acts as if he dosen’t believe it but you can tell by the way he acts as in lashing out and getting angry and yelling at Iago, telling him if hes lying he’ll kill him and all of those kinda things. Iago uses these against Othello so well and Othello tursts him to much to not believe him.
Jealousy was another thing that Iago used so well against Othello to make him angry and bloodthirsty. Iago kept saying that Cassio was doing all of these things with
Desdemonea like saying that they laid in bed naked and things like that, causing Othello to be very jealous and angry at Cassio. Desdemona keeps bringing Cassios name up because he was fired by Othello and wants his job back, so she says she will keep bringing his name up to
Othello to try and get him it back. Othello had heard from Iago that she wasnt going to quit talking about him and sure enough she kept talking about him and trying her hardest to get him his job back. Othello sees this and get very jealous and angry at her because she wont shut up
