In the book, The Upside-Down Kingdom by Donald B. Karybill is designed to have a better understanding how the kingdom of God is announced by Jesus appeared upside-down in the first-century and explains the upside-down it is today. The author’s basic thesis is to allow read-ers to make Jesus messages clear of the kingdom and provide readers to understand where He was going with his message. Karybill argument is well organized and has a strong way to back up his information provided, it is supported from scriptures said by Jesus apostles and Jesus himself. Donald B. Karybill mentions he has spoken of the Old Testament rather than Hebrew Bible. Karybill writing is coming from a Christian perspective Karybill quotes “I write as a Christian within the two- testament tradition and thus use the Old Testament able but do it with genuine respect for its central role in Jewish faith and practice”(Kraybill, D. 2011).

The crucifixion of Jesus Christ was and is a miraculous, horrible, and amazing thing all in one. Jesus was created by God, His father, and placed into Mary’s womb to be born as a sinless man. From the time that Jesus was placed in Mary, God knew His plan for Jesus and what He would have to do one day. God knew when he spoke man into existence that we would be sinless creatures in need of an almighty Savior. Even though I, and many others, hate to think about what our Savior went through, I believe it is important.
