Slavery is by far the biggest part in United States history to date. The duration of slavery was spread across the world and lasted for over 100 years. Slavery is a condition in which one person was owned by another, and was by law considered their property. The ones in which were considered slaves were treated poorly and at most times beaten by their owners. Slavery was for sure not a pleasant time of United States history. It has been practiced in many different cultures and societies throughout history.
