Often I dream of standing in the community of Gambia - the community welcoming me with open arms. As I look around I can see all the animals in need of my help- their bellies swollen from starvation. They need my help and that is what I’m going to give them. By the time I leave every living that in that community will be healthy and safe. However, once I open my eyes this will all be gone, as this is just my imagination which made me believe I could save everyone. Realistically, some goals are never going to be achieved. Obstacles occur in the everyday life that we as people can not fix. Most goals can be accomplished with dedication and persistence, but when it comes to goals people need to be realistic about what they want to accomplish. The goals that people set are not always able to be attained due to some people making goals that are to impractical or too far fetched to be completed. Physical strength and ability ranges differently throughout society which limits people to realistic goals they need to set. If someone is 4’11 they probably won 't be able to play in the NBA, even if they are good. A person 's financial ability may limit what they can achieve, if someone has a goal of moving to New Mexico but they are on a fixed income, more than likely they won’t be able to fulfill that goal. Many people have goals, but they are not waas logical. Goals are controlled based on physical ability, mental ability, and logically being able to achieve.
