Invajy.com quotes, “Perseverance is the key to success. Never give up and keep making efforts. It’s often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock.” This quote demonstrates the idea that you need to persevere to get through challenging times. The authors of both “Snowfall” and “Between a Rock and a Hard Place” created strong characters that persevered through difficult situations.
Everyone goes through life facing situations in which they must overcome. We decide if we must overcome them and use it to our advantage. Even though they might be presented with distorting events, the outcome can be turned into something extraordinary by making a person stronger and wiser. People say that obstacles are what build us up as a person which is indeed to be certain.
Apart from Sir Gawain’s obstacles, Everyman 's obstacles are more internal rather than external. Internal obstacles are “inherently based in the character”(Beemgee 1). Since most of the characters are personified concepts, it is easier to see how this is internal. The obstacle EveryMan faces is taking the journey alone and confessing his sins. Everyman said to Cousin after Kindred had left,“ How should I be merry or glad?
Honestly, I have never planned on going to college in my life. When I get out of school I have a business waiting on me. My father’s occupation is a cowboy, he works cows in all four states (Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma) and even out of the four states sometimes. I’ve been working cows with my dad since I was 4 years old. It is an occupation I am very educated in.

Whatever obstacle that is thrown at us we always have to find a way to solve it out, they always may seem like the impossible but everything is fixable. So with that being said, yes every obstacle or disadvantage can turn into something better. Some people say that obstacles like that or having disadvantages can’t turn into something good. They say it makes people even fear more because they are scared and don’t think they have a way out of it.

I myself am going back to school at the age of 35 with a family to care for. Things that I thought I knew are no longer true and I seem to have a learning curve that some of the younger students do not share.
Obstacles in our lives force us to better ourselves due to the lessons we learn. In April of 2015, I was struck with the realization that I was going to have to learn one of those lessons. I was also struck with a six foot long wooden beam straight to the head. I was soon diagnosed with a concussion. I then became aware that this was not my first or second concussion; this was my eighth concussion.
Finding motivation to attend college is easy, keeping the motivation to finish is the difficult part. I decided to enroll in college to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Finance. I hope that the degree will give me the opportunity to apply for a better position within the organization that I currently work for. A secondary goal of returning to school is to demonstrate to my son that attending college is required for many jobs and that returning to school as an adult has various difficult challenges. I have been working for the past nine years as an Assistant Financial Officer and am highly competent at my job.
One of the main issues that has influenced where I attend school is money. I took most of my prerequisites at a community college to save for nursing school. My parents saved very little money as my mother could not work and my father was a high school janitor. I have worked since I was 15, as a tutor, retail and whatever I could qualify for throughout high school and during my college years. However, most of the money I earned was allotted for tuition and came from financial aid and loans.
To overcome the Challenges and Obstacles I would have to make smart choices such as going tutoring, asking for help and actually paying attention. Going tutoring is helpful in many ways. One is that you will develop a strong relationship with the tutor or prof. Asking for help is usually where I tend to hesitate a little because I feel like I could do it myself and be okay with it. Asking for help something I am working on and trying to overcome that challenge.
People face and overcome adversity every day. Adversity shapes our character and society. According to Horace, a roman poet, adversity can evoke new talents that, otherwise, would not have been discovered. One interpretation of this is that we learn more in the bad times than in the good.
I have overcome many obstacles since attending a postsecondary education. Money has always been a problem for my family and I, and going to school was an addition to many of our money problems. However, I knew that I had no other option than to attend college in order to get a degree for my family to live a better life. Not asking my parents for assistance or additional money has been a toll for the amount of debt I’m now accountable for.
Life is a journey full of choices and obstacles. People build their lives around the kinds of choices they make and the obstacles they do or do not overcome. Stereotypes, social judgement, racism, and sexual barriers are a few examples of the kinds of obstacles society provides; however, one of the most difficult obstacles can often be oneself. Creator of The Daily Motivator, a motivational website, Ralph Marston believes that even though life contains difficult obstacles one should never allow themself to become an obstacle as well. Even though Marston’s belief is a very uplifting idea, in reality, a person will most likely end up fighting themself at one point.
