Any obstacle or disadvantage may be turned into something good if you really want to change what the situation is. In the book “The Glass Castle” Jeannette Walls went through a plethora of obstacles and disadvantages in her life that caused dilemmas for her, yet they never stopped her. In the book “ The Outsider” just by the fact of being born a greaser was already a disadvantage and there was still more obstacles to come, but that didn’t stop Ponyboy from trying to change his situation for better. Some people say that usually when you’re in a difficult situation where there are many obstacles and disadvantages in your way, you should either give up or just move to somewhere else where the situation is easier. I’ve heard this from more people than I can count and there are still many more with different ideas, but that lead to the same conclusion as said above.
Everybody has been through obstacles threw out their lives. How they overcome those obstacles is in their hands. Obstacles or disadvantages sometimes make a person stumble off track. Those obstacles or disadvantages shape the way people live out their lives. Any obstacles or disadvantage can be turned into a positive aspect in your life which could make you stronger as a person.
Everyone has experienced many disadvantages in their lives; getting affected by them is a personal choice. Many don’t believe having a problem brings the best out of a person because who can be jocular when they have a complication in their life? Being delighted by having the obstacle in your path isn’t something a person would do, but what comes after that obstacle gets pushed off is a substantial thing. Slowly but surely, they help you succeed in life and they teach you lessons you never knew you needed. Obstacles are rocky to overcome, but what you do with them is what really counts.
This season was full of miracles. We were the only team in the history of the NHL to go down in each series 3-0 and come back and win it. Same happened in the Stanley Cup Final. We went down 3-0 against a powerhouse Chicago team looking for a three-peat. We came back to tie the series 3-3 with a couple of clutch goals by me and the Staal brothers.
I believe that an obstacle or disadvantage can be turned into something good. Lance Armstrong, the most successful cyclist of all time, had to overcome cancer before achieving such greatness. Another possible example is Louis Armstrong. Louis was born to a single mother and lived a rough life. He was convicted of a crime and was sent to prison which is where he learned how to play the trumpet.
We blew teams out. We got blown out. Despite some early struggles, we were able to advance to the semifinals, but lost in a thriller. Even though we lost, it was the best game we played by far; the kids learned to play together as one team. The season was always filled with excitement and anticipation, one play after the
Adversity has affected my life in many different ways, but one specifically was when I was a sophomore. I was in an honors class and my teacher was a big stickler for having your assignments in on time. It was a three-part group project. I remember I had needed to finish one small part of the assignment and then had to go to work, but for some reason as soon as I got home, it had spaced my mind and I didn’t turn any of the assignment in. I then was working the next day and saw some of the classmates I had worked with on the project and they asked if I had turned the assignment in.
At first when I was told I would be able to speak my mind as to what my thoughts would be on the effects of what happened and what Mr. Wilson should receive as a time to serve I knew exactly what to say, but when you begin putting pen to paper you get lost and all the fears and anxiety continue at a high level. Below are what continue to haunt me and my children on a daily basis. I still recall the time you woke up and looked over at me with this crazed look in your eyes. You kicked me so hard in my right jaw and right upper arm. I fell into the night stand, then onto the floor next to the bed.
There could be a positive outcome were an obstacle can be turned into good. An example would be going to jail because it has a negative situations to positive. Going to jail might be something difficult to understand ,but let’s say someone was accused on a situation for being a liar by committing something illegal. Well going to prison for couple of months can make the person better by learning not to do bad things.
I have had tough hope once, I had to move to a different state and start to get used to the new place. Moving was hard and took a long time to move everything to our new house. My new house was hard to get used to because it was different and I wasn 't used to it which made it hard to sleep and I had to leave my friends behind and I would have to find new friends. Making new friends was hard because I would be alone until I found new friends and I would have no one to talk to so I would be very quiet. Usually I would always be talking to a friend and I am only social with friends.
In my brief life, I have overcome a lot of adversity. My mom fled Mexico with her three young children to escape domestic violence. When we came to this country we had only a few personal belongings and the promise of a better future. We came to this country and lived in a small trailer with no toilet other than a bucket, and no shower except for the one that was lent to us from the kindness of a stranger, our new neighbor. As a single parent, my mother had to work day and night to support us.
The journey is like working and getting money to buy a vehicle instead of letting your parents buy it for you. If you work for it, it means more to you buying your self. I think that 's how everything should be in life.the journey to the destination is more important because you go through a process, works for your own money, then i bought a dirt bike. First and foremost, the journey will let you know if you really want the goal. If you work hard for it and get the goal you will want to work harder to achieve the next goal.
Going There uses and shops. It looked like a doll town when we we're driving in. Then we dI was on my way to my grandma and grandpa’s house for a visit. Then I asked why we we're going. My mom said it was a surprise and that we weren't suppose to know.
One of my experiences with failure took place when I was in fourth grade. There were many problems accumulated and I was a child who needed people to see if I did my homework or study for the test, because I couldn’t concentrate and was distracted by anything in the room. My brother also had problems that year, he needed more attention because he didn’t get along with his math teacher and my Mom was always after him with the homework; otherwise he would have failed Math at the end of the year. In fourth grade, the teacher that was assigned to us was one of the strict teachers that were in that school
“Life has a funny way of working out just when you start to believe it never will.” This is a quote I found on Pinterest, but I’ve already experienced this feeling. The bad things that happen do get better; even if it takes time, I know it because I thought it wouldn’t but it did. My experience with bad times made me feel extremely bad, but I have people in my life that have given me their help to become a stronger person.
