In the early 1900’s, the population of the world was a mere 1.6 billion people. Now, within the last century, the population has risen dramatically to 7.4 billion people. As the population of this planet remains on a rapid incline, it does not display any indication of subsiding. Today, overpopulation of the human race is one of the most critical issues that the world must face. Although many individuals remain unaware of this epidemic, the effects of overpopulation are becoming explicitly clear to see with the passing of each day. Climate change, loss of natural habitats, pollution, and the overconsumption of limited natural resources, such as fossil fuels and water, are only a small quantity of environmental issues imposed upon Earth
