The issue of people in developing nations receiving a fair price for the goods they produce is raised by Oxfam through the Fairtrade movement. Consumers can influence the decisions of operations managers by switching from other brands to organic fair trade. If consumers do this, operations managers will think that consumers are favouring a brand or the brand/s that supports the grower at the origin who is struggling. This will then lead the operations managers to help the growers of their coffee (or any of their other products) too to attract customers buy their product and also to help the growers.
