The swampland was dense, and packed with reeds and foliage of all sorts. The water was teal-green, and the trees hung low. The stars shone bright in the cold night; the moon in full swing. A small Snake slithered out from behind a large granite rock. A Panda, seemingly unaware of the slimy reptile, pranced about in the grasses. A turquoise Swan was silently observing from the lake, floating through the mossy water. The big Panda was now rolling about, enjoying the luxury of the night. The Snake was closer now. It started to rear up, as if it were about to strike. Its fangs opened up, ready to snap at the Panda.

He was scared to death, not only because of his capture, but because of what would happen next. He and the other Descendants just wanted to be left alone, but the hunters wouldn’t have that. The others would be found, and then they would be doomed.

The footsteps of the hunters were driving her crazy. Her heart was in her throat she was so scared. If they found her, it would be the end of the Descendants. Worst part was, it was her fault. If she just stayed in with the others…Her thoughts trailed off, and fear had her in a headlock.

“Come out, come out wherever you are.” The lead hunter, Byran, was goading them into revealing themselves. Donovan, the other hunter, just wanted to be done with the job. It was tiring him, waiting here even though the targets had been located.

“Sir,” he whispered, “can’t we just finish this?” He got an angry scowl from Byran in return.

“You ruin just about everything.” He neared the bush. He unsheathed his blade and slashed at the bush. It tore, and revealed the other side. The boy morphed back into his human form, and straight up ran. His feet were sore moments later, but he kept on running. “Donovan, get the girl.
