Should parenting classes be mandatory in High School? Yes I think they should be mandatory. So teens know how to be good parents in case they do have sex and get pregnant in high school. Because everyone in high school experiments or even if they don’t you eventually will so that’s why you should have to take this class to at least know the basic things on how pregnancy works and what the pros and cons are about being a pregnant teen. And in these classes you learn all about teen pregnancy, sex, STDs, and drugs and basically what an adult life feels like and how it affects you. Parenting classes can expose students to the impact of a nurturing environment. Also parenting classes can help you learn how to love and care for a baby, loving and caring for your child has a great impact on your child’s loving and caring developer. I know that not all people plan on becoming parents, but leaving it as an elective isn 't doing much, because a lot of teens do. Most of the people who pick the course are people who are interested in child care and already know a lot about it. The people who need this course aren 't taking it. Even if you don’t plan on having a baby in high school and a lot of high school teenagers babysit, and you could use the helpful things you learned. Another problem that could be solved is discipline. A lot of teens don’t know how to discipline their kids and could become abusive and dangerous. Most high school students have no patience’s. It’s not a good idea if you don’t like waking up for school, then waking up to get a crying baby, this is some reasons why you shouldn’t be sexually active until you’re ready if anything does
