Psychology includes many approaches in studying explanations to human behavior and experiences. The subject is to be focused under different approaches, for instance: biological approach, cognitive approach, psychodynamic approach and behavioral approach. When focusing on the biological approach, it analyses the chemical activities in the brain and it also studies the reasons why we act the way we do and why we develop abnormal behavior. Biological psychologists relies more on medications and medical procedures. Cognitive approach is usually defined as the acquisition of knowledge. The motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease takes place by a death from dopamine-generating cells in the substantia nigra, a region of the midbrain; the cause of this cell death is unknown. Early in the course of the disease, the most noticeable symptoms are movement related, including shaking, stiffness, slowness of movement and diificulty with walking & bearing. Later, thinking and behavioral problems may arise, with dementia commonly in the advanced stages of the diseases, whereas depression is the most common psychiatric symptom. Tremor is the most apparent & well known symptom. It is the most common, through around 30% of individuals with Parkinson disease do not have tremor at disease onset most develop it as the disease progresses. Parkinson disease is traditionally has been considered a non-genetic disorder, around 15% of individuals with Parkinson disease have a first degree relative who has the disease.

The basal ganglia a group of “brain structures” innervated by the doperminergic system are the most substantia nigra, affecting up to 70% of the cells by the time death occurs. The primary symptoms of Parkinson’s disease result from greatly reduced activity of dopamine secreting cells caused by cell death in the pars compacta region of the substantia nigra.

The Parkinson disease is recommended to be a result of low levels of dopamine. But biological approach is not sufficient to explain all the behaviors occur in Parkinson disease. Speech changes cannot occur because of low levels of dopamine. It cannot be clearly explained according to biological approach in Parkinson disease.
