Passion Vs. Common Sense In Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet

My verbal-visual focuses on the theme passion versus common sense in the tragic play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare. As you can see my visual is separated into two equal sections. The left side represents passion while the right side represents reason. In the upper left corner, I have drawn a heart opposing a brain, in the upper right corner, in a fight. The heart represents passion whereas the brain represents reason. In the play, the characters act on their passionate emotion that override reason and leads one to make rash decisions. Correspondingly, this visual illustrates how individual’s emotions are influenced by their heart and mind, which do not always go hand in hand.
