A histologist works with tissue samples, either from humans, plants, or animals. They prepare the slides of tissue under a microscope for examination. Histologists work closely with pathologists to identify any signs of disease in the tissue sample. They have a very important job during blood transfusion. Their job is to verify that the donor blood matched the patient’s blood type. Histologists also can look for bacteria, viruses, or parasites in the tissue. I would not consider this career as a career choice. It seems too stressful for me. You can’t mess up on anything because it could have a really negative effect, especially during the blood transfusion. I also don’t think I would be that good at using the microscopes. I just don’t
