Patrick Stein is a 28 year old successful stock broker in New York City 1987. It was a genius plan and it worked perfectly, that until the part of the murders he hated the worst came, covering it up. He cleaned his apartment and put the body in a bag so he could take a cab to the Hudson River to dump the body, while getting in the cab, Patrick ran into some neighbors of his that almost saw that there was a human-like figure in the bag, but luckily for Patrick they didn’t suspect anything. Patrick played it cool and responded fantastically to all the detective’s questions, but the detective didn’t let go, given that someone from the office spotted Patrick with Jerome the day of the murder, or as far as police know “went missing” and told detective Mosby when questioned, since all personal from the office was questioned by police.
