An accomplished educated life is what most students long for, they overcome hardships, make sacrifices, all to make their families proud and their dreams become a reality. Students of all ages, backgrounds apply for college every year in hopes of realizing their dream; some receive free education thru grants, financial aid, or parental assistance. Some students aren't so fortunate and for one reason or another, they have to pay for each semester to continue their education. Same as, students who finance or don't have to finance their education strive for the same objective, to eventually graduate. Among both types of students, the ones that pay for their education seemed to be more appreciative, diligent and committed to completing school than the group who received it for free, whom often take it for granted.
Sudents who have not financed their own education don’t appreciate the great opportunity that has been give to them. For example, being a freshman in college I recall my indifference towards a free education. The social aspect of college was fascinating, the clubs, and organizations on campus consumed all my time. For instance, when I was a young and inexperienced freshman, I didn’t realize nor did I care what my schooling cost. I wasn’t paying for it then, I focused on myself and the famous college experience. The urgency to study for tests, submit assignments or even present myself to class simply did not exist. When I skipped class, I remember sitting by the window, in the library, letting the warm, happy sun shine down on my face. I used to sit and contemplate my life, not realizing then what I was doing to myself, my future. I’ll always regret the selfish, ungrateful attitude towards the free education I
