My parents started their family young and lacked both time and money to invest in post-secondary education. However, they utilized good work ethic and applied their best knowledge of finances to get them to where they are today. Still, my parents are unable to pay in full, my college tuition. This, as a result, pushes me harder to obtain a University degree. By obtaining a University education, I will heighten my chances of finding a career that I am passionate about, that will also suffice my financial needs and wants. This would include paying off my own student loans, so my parents would not have to stress over not being able to assist me financially. It would allow me to escape form my home town for a while. I love my home town, but in my opinion, change is a positive necessity everyone needs. Embracing the change that comes with going to a University is the part of the college experience I am prepared for. Meeting new people and going new places enthuses me beyond words. Although I am nervous to be doing it on my own, the journey I am about to embark upon brings me inspiration. Education has always been a passion of mine, and I would take advantage the opportunity to continue that.
My parents have never asked me to be a straight A student, but rather that I do the best that I can in whatever I do. The application of this principle to my academics resulted in me obtaining a cumulative 4.0 GPA. My parents have been a positive influence for me and have shown me how to work hard. They want the best for me and have therefore taught me how to go and get the best for myself. Working towards a University education, will make my parents proud of the daughter they have raised. We both would gain a sense of
