One day that will always be remembered by America is the date of December 7, 1941, which changed American history forever. December 7, 1941 was the day the Japanese warplanes attacked Pearl Harbor (Hawaii) which stationed many of American ships and airfields. Immediately after the bombings, United States President Franklin Roosevelt declared war on Japan, leading to a direct involvement into World War ll. Japan had many reason to do so but Japan attacked Pearl harbor for three reasons which were that they had a plan for a new world order, United States were expanding their number of naval ships rapidly, and an oil embargo was placed upon Japan
Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7th, 1941. It killed 2,000 American soldiers. “The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness” is what people say in Hawaii, (Hawaii). Destroyed nearly twenty vessels and hurt many, many people. They call “Hawaii the best place on earth,”(Hawaii).
The attack on Pearl Harbor was in fact a terrorist attack. The Imperial Japanese Navy against the US Naval base. This later led to the US to World War II. (Hanson, V.wnd) After 2 years of their conflict the US begins world war II. The war was belligerent.
Why did Japan attack Pearl Harbor? If you were threatened by an individual, would you throw the first punch or wait for the attack. This is how Japan felt when they were trying to dominate Asia. On Sunday December 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked the United State’s biggest naval base, Pearl Harbor. This attack was a turning point for the United States because this was one factor that brought them into World War II to fight against the Axis Powers.

Pearl Harbor was a United States naval base located in Hawaii, roughly 4,000 miles from Japan. During the reforms of WWI there was an uneasy relationship between The US and Japan. After many small acts Japan launched a surprise attack on the United States.
On the morning of December 7, 1941, two explosions occurred on Hawaii’s Oahu island’s Pearl Harbor. The bombs were set one hour apart, one located in the sea and one dropped from the air. By the end of the attack, many American planes, military crafts and two battle ships had been destroyed. The death toll was over 2,300. The attacks were from Japan, which at the time was a fascist country looking to expand their nation.
Mainly giving America a rough patch and many hardships. Although it did give courage to our country while also believing that this war was the first of many more to come. In the final analysis, Japan’s actions in Pearl Harbor did indeed change the course of America’s history. Just think how would it be if Pearl Harbor hadn’t happened.
Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, was indeed a day of infamy; it was a day in which America feared for their families and loved ones. A day that started out to be a calm Sunday morning was spitefully interrupted just before 8 a.m. when Japanese warplanes viciously bombed the U.S naval base. As a whole, The United States intentions were to stay neutral concerning foreign affairs, and had done so until Japan invaded Hawaiian territory. Thousands of Americans lost their lives and many were struggling to stay alive. The next day, President Franklin Roosevelt called an urgent meeting with the members of the Senate and House of Representatives.
Pearl Harbor attack took lives of about 2,400 people as well as 9/11 with the loss of 2,996 and injured more than 6,000. Not only were thousands of lives were gone but the equipment in both events were horrendous. In December 7, 1941 Pearl Harbor was under attack by japanese navy for United States base which was Pear harbor and the submarines was the first unit involved in the attack. Eight U.S battleships were vandalised or sunk by the japanese. The eight ships were bad that they wouldn't be able to recover because of how old the equipment was.
”Pearl harbor was a resting place to a ton of ships. Some were lucky enough not to be there on that horrible morning the day of the surprise attack, But some were there. Either way before that day it was considered a safe place for many of the ships and their crews. Some Japanese were convicted of treason after the attack on pearl harbor. After world war 2 some japanese were put on trial for convicting treason.
December 7th, 1941, at 7:48am, the Empire of Japan “deliberately and suddenly” attacked the Navy at Pearl Harbor. The United States of America was at peace with Japan until the horrific event. Eight naval ships were docked at Pearl Harbor filled with many men and women. Four Navy Battleships were damaged while the other four were sunk with hundreds of brave sailors still buried alive and killing over 3,500 sailors overall. This event changed the world.
December 7, 1941 will forever be a date people remember. People will remember the event that caused terror throughout the country and ultimately resulted in the U.S. entrance into World War II. This date signifies the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Pearl Harbor is located on the southern end of Oahu, and it held a 22,000 acre naval base. This attack was meant to be a surprise.
In the article called “Pearl Harbor,” the author writes, “In all, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor crippled or destroyed nearly 20 American ships and more than 300 airplanes.” The Pearl Harbor incident made Americans think of what was best for their country, not what was best for individual people. Also, in the article called, “The Japanese Attacked Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941,” the author writes,“The bombing killed more than 2,300 Americans. It completely destroyed the American battleship U.S.S. Arizona and capsized the U.S.S. Oklahoma. The attack sank or beached a total of twelve ships and damaged nine others.
What do you know about Pearl Harbor…? Pearl Harbor was a devastation to Americans. lives were lost, ships and planes were damaged and destroyed. The Japan attacked Pearl to insure safety for japan. December 7, 1941 was the horrific day when the Japanese attacked Hawaii.
In both events of Pearl Harbor and 9/11 had a damaging effect on our country. We were terrified and frightened for what could happen next. Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941 at the Hawaiian territory. 9/11 occurred on September 11, 2001 at New York City. The Pearl Harbor attack was caused from a feud we were having with Japan.
