Percy Jackson versus Odysseus: who was the better leader? Within their own stories, the Odyssey and Percy Jackson: sea of monsters. Good Traits a good leader needs to have to lead a team are Leaders need to be clever, smart, and heroic. Each of these traits will help lead the crew and get them out of bad situations and be able for them to listen to and trust the leader. Percy Jackson and Odysseus both played leadership roles in their different stories, with Percy leading his friends and Odysseus leading his crew. Each also has good leadership traits and bad leadership traits only one thought is better than the other. Percy Jackson is the better leader overall of the two leaders.

The first example as to why Percy is the better leader. During each of their stories, they both dealt with Polyphemus in the cave. Odysseus in the Odyssey fighting Polyphemus let many of his men die and got them trapped to die.
