As a co-leader for the Greater Bethesda AMSA chapter, I work to support the professional goals of the NIH post-baccalaureate fellows through hosting panel discussions, group meetings regarding the professional school application process, and organizing mock interviews. In addition, I organize community and volunteer opportunities such as Kids Enjoy Exercise Now. It is fulfilling to witness students gain valuable knowledge and support while navigating through the application process. Working as an officer for AMSA has taught me the value of being a co-leader, that is working with other leaders to achieve a common goal and how to plan events based on the needs of the student community.
The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
I consider working as a member team, communication, active learning, and personal services to be some of my strongest assets I have to offer; while I find that I excel in relating to children and adapting to people in all environment. I am very committed to everything I do and will not stop until the job is done and done right. I believe that building relations with those I am working alongside is important for the success of any well run team.

It is a great honor to be considered for acceptance into the F.A. Verplanck Chapter of the National Honor Society. Being apart of this means more than just having outstanding grades. Even though it is an important factor, aspects like leadership, community, and character is also what shapes this organization and the people in it to be a well rounded individual. I feel as if I possess all of these characteristics and I will make me positive contribution into the National Honors Society.
I’m very proud with my character I have shown. Outstanding character to me is being responsible, honest, and generous. As I feel happy helping others out with a subject they may struggle with. Now I don 't just apply my character at school, but also outside in the community. Personally I feel that it’s important to give back to communities.
Through the experience of working as youth leader for freshman connection I have grown as a better leader. To help incoming freshman was incredible experience for me. I joined freshman connection to serve school and defiantly to get knowledge and team building skills out of it, so that it can help me make my college experience better. I think I have achieved all the goals that I wanted to through working as youth leader. Additionally, not only that but also to work on community service project on bullying has really allowed me to serve as teacher helper.
I will understand that every student is different and embrace every challenge. My goal is to strive as a positive role model by influencing moral character with
For example, staff who pay attention to detail and go the extra mile because of their organisational and personal values are likely to improve patients health out comes by reducing the risk of accidental errors, providing timely care, having quality and detailed patient and staff interactions and providing personalised care. This essay will look at how interprofessional communication in health and social care can impact service-user safety. Interprofessional collaboration is when different health professions work together though the process of communication and shared decision making (Bridges, et al, 2011). In such a complex environment such as the NHS were one service-user could be treated by several different professions it’s important to service-user safety that these teams are cohesive. Communication between these different groups is imperative, failure in communication can be detrimental to service-user safety. Failures in communication and co-ordination can have massive adverse effect, such as in the case of Victoria Climbie were these failures lead to the
I experience what it was like on a daily basis at the hospital. Experiencing this inspired me into going into the healthcare/medial field. I learned in the volunteer program that personal characteristics that you need to have is respect, caring, positive attitude towards everyone. Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I enjoy being a part of something bigger than myself and having the opportunity to impact someone’s life-however small the difference. Personally, I believe that modeling is the most effective way to lead. I try my best to make choices that I know will represent myself and the important aspects of my life(clubs, leadership positions, family, etc.) in a positive way. How will you serve first year students as a resource on campus? Being available and able to be selfless when the time calls is important as a peer mentor.
As leaders we need to be able to actively respond to concerns and make the case for change, demonstrating the value (Health Foundation, 2014b). Within the authors organisation patient stories have been a powerful tool in achieving
From contesting for this position to getting elected and working for betterment of my house group, I gained a lot of experience and self-confidence and became more responsible. Being a vice captain, I played an important role in addressing and motivating students, advising and helping them, and earning points for my group by participating in many competitions alone or in a team. I also served as the student voice of the school to a variety of external and internal constituents. The student council served as a bridge between the students and the school heads and administration.
