What defines a good friend? The average person will have developed numerous friendships throughout their lives, but what determines which friendships will be lifelong or temporary? Family can be constituted as individuals you love, trust and care about, I personally consider my friends as family since those are the traits that produce quality character in an individual. There are many ways to define a good friend but the keys traits a friend should have are being trustworthy, loyal and caring. A good friend is someone who is trustworthy because you can depend on them when times become hard or someone who you can depend to come through for you in emergencies. A friend that is trustworthy is someone you can give the keys to your house and nothing will be stolen or lending your friend money and he returns it back in time. A trustworthy friend is a person who you can tell your deepest secrets to and they won’t tell anyone. In life you will think many people are trustworthy but it is important to know that trust is developed over time and not right away. A loyal friend is a person that will always have your back when it comes defending you and making sure you are alright. Loyalty in a friend is very important because without loyalty in a friendship, one friend can go and talk behind your back to another friend when you think your friend is loyal but they are not and are talking behind your back.
