Although Hilary has her fair share of scandals, she proves to be a better candidate, as seen in this debate; therefore, I would vote for her. It is clear that Hillary understands the philosophical perspective of herself. The philosophical perspective is one of three differing views of “The Self” and it indicates that someone is the knower and the ultimate locus of their personal identity. This concept explains that someone can understand the responsibility they have to take to define who they are and they assess what interactions or actions they can take or have taken to define them self. Hillary demonstrates this in her response to the question, “You said half of Donald Trump supporters are quote “deplorables.” Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, islamophobic. …show more content…

You didn't express regret for using the term “deplorables.” To Mr. Carter’s question, how can you unite a country if you've written off tens of millions of Americans?” Hillary replies that she felt sorry about the way she addressed Trump’s supporters and that her problem is not with his supporters, but rather Trump, himself, and his campaign. In this case, Hillary understands that she made a mistake and that the action she made to insult Trump’s supporters was wrong on her part. Hillary effectively uses the concept of a philosophical perspective to reassess that her actions were wrong and by doing so, she demonstrates that she is not afraid to restructure her actions or implement new methods in her future candidacy in order to be a fit president. Hillary has the “trump hand” over Donald when it comes to experience of handling political matters which is demonstrated in her use of the philosophical perspective; therefore, she is the candidate I would vote for based on this
