Reflective Essay I think overall, Micronarrative was a very successful studio, where I was able to not only create amazing works, but I also refined my skills, learnt a lot about the theory side of motion graphics and had a lot of fun while doing it. The course had the perfect mix of theory and practical work to help prepare us for the assignments which we would be working on. I honestly, really enjoyed being part of the Micronarrative team, especially having Rebecca as a teacher, who is very knowledgeable as well as understanding and really helps to motivate and push her students to produce the best work that they possibly can. I do not regret my decision of picking this studio over the others. 18 hours per week is a lot of time, in fact that’s half my university workload. 6 hours are spent in class and 12 out of class. Unfortunately it had been a rough semester for me due to some medical reasons, and thus I was unable to carry out my usual routine of study at home. This affected my other subjects, not just this one. When I did sit down to do my work I always gave it my all, and tried to produce the best work that I possibly could, not only so that I could get good grades but also, so that I could showcase the work in my portfolio. Unfortunately they didn't, which tells me that I needed to put more focus on communicating with other people and checking in on their progress every now and again, rather than a quick chat at the start. Also, I was initially meant to work in a group for the title sequence, however we couldn't agree on a topic, so we decided it was best to work alone. Perhaps when it comes to animating, it is better to work alone than have to find people with the same style as you who have the same
