Personal Narrative: A Day At Labedee In Haiti

Today was the last stop on our cruise at Labedee in Haiti, it 's a private part of the island controlled by Royal Caribbean. A quick breakfast at the solarium bistro and we were off walking on the dock towards the beach with our towel and swimmers. Another really hot day was on the cards so finding shade was essential. Luckily they were setup really good and we got 2 sun deck chairs in the shade just 10 metres from the water. We had perfect viewing of the worlds longest zip line which stretched up into the mountain all the way down to the end of the beach, by my estimate I would think it would be close to a 1000 metres. We went straight to the pool for a quick dip but it was still too warm and didn 't really cool us down. Only way to cool down was in the air conditioning and the Globe & Atlas pub was perfect destination. We had our regular nap before taking another swim and by this time it felt like the pool was a little cooler. We changed for dinner and decided on the Solarium Bistro for dinner where loved the garlic prawns. I also tried the chicken kebab which had a nice bit of spice but could not fit in dessert. We walked down the promenade and decided to have a drink in the On Air bar for the first time. A young American couple sat besides and guy was only 22, he was in the marines and had travelled to many countries. We were waiting for the show Come Fly with Me to start and watched Usain Bolt last individual Olympic race which he won the 200 metres race quite comfortably. The show was due to start in the Opal theatre so we took our seats and ordered more drinks. The show was based on aerial display with the performers showing great skill hanging from the roof making somersaults look easy. We really enjoyed the show and now was after 11pm and could not fit another thing in as well as being very
