Many people love sports. The most popular sport in the world is futbol but in America it is football. Even though those names sound the same they are different sports. Many Americans learn how to play football in high school, and some become good enough to play college football. Penn State Nittany Lions football is better than Pittsburgh Panthers football by having good players, coaches and winning a lot of championship’s.
When I was 7 years old I went to my first high school game with my mom, the teams that played were Roosevelt and Flower. I will never forget that day Sept 8th at 8PM friday night lights. My older cousin Brett Pierce was the starting Cornerback for flowers, I admired him because he the starting Corner and he was ranked #23 in the Nation for his position. My cousin ended the game with 18 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles that was one of the greatest days of my life. After the game was over I asked my mom could she sign me up to play football, she told me I wasn’t big enough.

Many countries are entertained by a variety of sports. Sports have been around for many years and have played an important role in the American, Spanish and Latin American culture. One thing we can agree on is that sports have made an impact on almost every culture and has significance in people’s lives. People gather from all over the world to engage in the live action of the many sports events around the world. Over the years modern sports have evolved.

It was a Saturday morning and I was getting ready for my second big game.
Showing grit is a common thing for all people in sports, but one that has really stuck to me was middle school football to now. When seventh grade football started, Coach was looking at kids for certain positions and he said my name first. I instantly perked up ready to get any position on the team, but when he said I was playing second team center I was crushed. I never played on the line before. I was tall and skinny, not big and bulky.
Nowadays, many people don 't know where an important piece of history originated from. Although much of it dates back to a couple 100 years ago, such as in sports. Many of the sports popular today have their roots coming from the late 19th century. Though for many of the sports today, many of them are part of people 's lives and dedicate their time to it not just for fun but for the love of the game. Like for Boxing and Baseball they 're not easy sports to learn, but for some people it comes naturally.
My team and I watching from the crowd, as Clarkstown and New City battle it out to advance to the next round. The sun beaming down on us like we were asphalt on a summer day, and getting in our eyes causing us to put on eye black. I can’t help myself and smell hot pretzels being made so my dad and I buy one and share it before the game ends. The game finishes, 4-3 in favor of Clarkstown, my coach tells us to go to the out field to stretch and throw if you were a parent in the stands all you would see would be 10 bright white baseballs flying back and forth.
On Friday, August 26th, 2016, I got and opportunity to go to the NFL pre-season game between the Carolina Panthers and the New England Patriots at Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, NC. With my current situation as an international student, the method of adopting an attitude of strangeness has been my only option to observe this new society, culture, and environment. In my country, Thailand, we only know one kind of football and that is 90% of sport is all about using feet and 10% using hands, while the definition of football in America is the complete opposite and hardly has anything to do with foot. Football a contact sport, one that requires strength, speed, agility, and mental toughness. This is how I came to play this sport. It all started in fifth grade when I had finally decided that soccer wasn 't the sport for me, a slightly tubby taller than most kids. With knowing this I decided that football may be the sport for me, I will admit I was really nervous at first, the thought of a contact sport, and well being good at the sport really had me worried. Then the after the first practice whizzed by, I realized that it wasn 't so bad.
I owe my success to my failures, and I’m very grateful for them. The biggest failure of my life was when I tore my ACL. Without this major blow to my football career, I wouldn’t have had a football career at all. In my trials and tribulations I found myself, like steel that’s been tested in fire.
Standing out in the blistering August heat covered head to toe with thick, bulky pads and a helmet may not be everyone's idea of enjoying their summer, but for football players it’s what we live for. Those long summer days spent with your new football family (who we spend more time with than our actual families) help spark the idea that together we can prevail. For two weeks in which seems to be the most enduring, draining two weeks of our lives, teammates battle each other for the chance the start under the Friday night lights and experience all the gory that goes with it. I was entering my sophomore year in high school when I started my first double session practice in the beginning of August. The first morning practice began at 7 A.M on a day with the potential to reach record heat.
Introduction It was the beginning of my 5th grade school year, and I decided that I wanted to begin a new sport. On the first day of practice, having never played the sport, our coach lined us all up on the field. Our team had a quarterback from the previous year that was returning, but he had no one to back him up this season. As coach Link stood back to examine his future team, unexpectedly, he pointed at me and said, “you are going to play quarterback”. Excited, reflecting back, it was one of the best moments of my life.
Sports have been a part of America for a long time. Long enough that they are big part of American’s culture. When the word “sports” is mentioned to any American, the first thing that comes to mind are sports at a professional level, mean while forgetting the National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA) athletes. Surprisingly, America has the unique value of being able to play sports on a high level while going to college. No other country has that privilege.
I remember its like it was yesterday. Crisp mid October air washing against my skin, fresh dew glistening on the grass, birds singing in the trees around, then hitting me like a freight train, a whistle blew; I then came crashing back to reality;although, luckily enough we had gotten the ball during kick-off. I sprinted into position, Mid-Field as they call it in soccer;also known as the all-around player who swaps from offense to defense at a moments notice. However, at this moment I had freshly stolen the ball back from our opponents ever so cocky lead forward. To easy I thought as I sprinted up the field; the goal I was about to make would determine the season;first place or second.
