A hint of sunlight hit me as I dared forward into the depths of the forest, far away into the realm of nature. A zephyr bristled across the brisk forest as it whispered a faint greeting. The trees shed their coats as the crimson leaves glided through the sky with elegance. My thoughts were lost as the beauty of nature immersed me into a different world of grandiose. The silence of the forest surprised me with awe as I stopped in my path and gazed at the serene forest. Mother Nature is my haven, where I am welcomed and freed. Ever since I was a child, my life was a never ending journey. My parents who immigrated from South Korea to New York. They aspired for a better life in the new land of opportunity. The troop I applied to allowed me to met new friends in a unique atmosphere. We were a group of vigorous boys who had the same interest in scouting and enjoying nature. On weekends, my troop and I camped in desolate parts of the forests of Georgia and Alabama. Most of the time we relaxed and enjoyed the pleasure of being in nature. The troop granted me a closer intimacy to nature. Membership in the troop was the only time where I could truly live outside and exert my feelings. Most of my fondest memories were being outside in nature. My friends and I knocked down towering rotting pine trees by pushing and shaking the trunk. We rushed down rapid white waters on our canoes down the mighty Chattahoochee River. Together we explored up misty mountains and forged our own path.
