The dancers had incredible
When I first joined my church’s lion dance team, I had an empty skill set for lion dancing. My partner and I (two people per lion, a head and a tail) came to every practice full of energy and eager to learn from the best dancers, dubbed “Group 1,” on our team. Now, after years of dedication, we finally earned the “Group 1” title. Through this journey, I have developed a strong passion for lion dancing and hope to use my gifts to inspire my teammates to find their inner “Group 1”
I was responsible in guiding members and helping them understand choreography. Being a positive role model to help guard members that struggled with unfamiliar moves was challenging, as I worked to stay patient with an outgoing personality. As I watched the guard practice, I became aware that each individual learns differently, however, their problems showed similarities. Members’ eyes were wandering, comparing themselves to each other. Frustrations filled their faces as members doubted their ability to execute the choreography.

My eyes were drooping, and I was fighting to stay awake. I was just about to doze off into nothingness when I heard a menacing beep. I immediately got up and searched for the sound, realizing it came from the radar we were guarding. I looked over at the green screen, and what I saw chilled me to my bones. There was a massive group of planes heading directly for the Hawaiian Islands.

The Nine Lives A hero’s journey is an adventure a person takes to improve himself or herself and his or her inner being. Many times the journey comes unexpectedly but other times it is a step one should take as they begin to grow up. There are three stages that take place in this journey; the separation, initiation and transformation, and the return. The heroine of this journey is a 35-year old woman from New York City. Her journey begins in her townhouse that is on the upper east side of the city that never sleeps.
The sun glistened in the daybreak and a dark figure appeared on the foreground, and moved gracefully across the pathway, nearing the bench that presided at my side. My eyes scoured upward as he neared and the sun blinded me, but not before I saw the figure, a man, glance my direction and change his course. He was wrapped in an opaque tunic that countered the illuminated color of his hair, it was a halcyonic gold that glistened against the flare of day. His trousers were khaki color that exalted the man’s frame. Once my eyes cleared and I was able to open them the man was closer than before and I was able to see his face much more clearly.
Hero’s Journey can be implicated at life because people have all these adventures that they do not plan out. If someone choses to do something with their life and make them matter to people then they will most likely experience all parts of Hero’s Journey. “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” (Campbell) These are wise words spoken by Joseph Campbell.

Mrs. Tomas Still has to practice the moves so that she can will know what to do and how to teach us. It's hard because I have to practice everyday for at least 1 hour. I have had tough hope once, I had to move to a different state and start to get used to the new place. Moving was hard and took a long time to move everything to our new house. My new house was hard to get used to because it was different and I wasn 't used to it which made it hard to sleep and I had to leave my friends behind and I would have to find new friends. Making new friends was hard because I would be alone until I found new friends and I would have no one to talk to so I would be very quiet. Usually I would always be talking to a friend and I am only social with friends.
Everybody knows that there are four seasons, and everyone has their favorite one out of all of them. Mine is when the woods turns into a coloring book of orange and red, when I put a nice warm batch of hot co-co on the stove, and were all of my family comes together every year. My favorite season is fall. My favorite hobby is hunting.
As I took a deep inhalation through my nose, I noticed the aroma of hot dogs being cooked. My gaze averted to the stand on the corner. I closely observed the man behind the carts carelessly drizzle ketchup and mustard that he dumped on the link. Despite the poor quality of the food, customers graciously accepted the classic New York City hot dog. Moments later, the overpowering stench of garbage stole my attention.
As time passed, I seemed caught in a rigid routine. When I woke, my crazies made it hard to shower. During the day, I worked as an accountant for two small businesses in town. After work I came home, got high, and sat alone in my house. At night I watched Johnny Carson, and on the weekends, I visited my Aunt Claudia.
