As we grow from an innocent young child, to a young ambitious adult, the decisions we make ultimately dictate the path we lead away from the sense of security our parents blanket us with. I can still feel that heartwarming emotion that runs through your body and lifts your spirits as if nothing will harm you this day in time. Nothing can replace that relief we find in the special place we like to call “Home”.
Its 6:30am as my alarm sounds. I rigged it to play one of my favorite morning motivational songs, “Beat It” by Michael Jackson. I turn over to find my beautiful life partner still bewitched by last night’s supper: “Eggplant parmesan”, my favorite. Her cosmetic face mask briefly startled me due to her charming resemblance to our friendly Ghost “Casper”. “Honey, wake up! It’s time to get ready. We have a long trip ahead of us.”
